Does the paint provide a permanent repair?

Yes, as far as we’ve tested. Eight years is the longest repair we’ve monitored (a chip repair), and it looks the same as it did the day it was applied. Most touch-up paints shrink up over time after they’ve dried and cured. Our paint does not shrink. We use true automotive paint, specially formulated by our laboratory to achieve the results expected from our clients. Our repairs should remain the same as it appears after application for years to come. Extreme Pressure washing the automobile can result in paint chip repair damage.

How large a chip will the paint repair effectively?
Chips much larger than a pencil eraser will begin to lose the ‘dramatic’ effect we advertise. You can still paint chips larger than this with quality results, but you may need to allow more drying time. The size, shape, depth and color all factor into the outcome of each repair when you get into damage much larger than this.

Are the chips still visible after painting?
Some are, some aren’t. Most small chips are not visible unless you’re trying to find them. “Road-rashed” vehicles contain thousands of small chips and most are not visible at all afterward, leaving the overall look of the vehicle dramatically improved. If you’re trying to fix one single chip, you’re probably going to still see it because you’re looking for it.

Does it work well on all colors?
Chips on most car colors are dramatically reduced or visually eliminated.
Repairs on light silver and gold metallic colors generally look much better after initial application, though sometimes they are still more visible because the edge of the chip is slightly darker and will catch your eye if large enough.

Will it work on all scratches?
Our paint system is primarily designed to address chips, but it will work well on certain types of scratches and poorly on others. There are several variables that determine repair quality.

Do you offer a Service Satisfaction Guaranteed Policy?
Yes, we guarantee that you will completely satisfied with our chip repair and reconditioning services. Furthermore, we are responsible for the car as long as it is on the dealers lot and we will recheck the car weekly for damages that can result from customer negligence, test drives, or weather extremities.

Unfortunately, we can not offer the same guarantee once the car is sold because we cannot monitor the conditions the car will be subjected to after the car is sold.


The Science

Q: What is Photocatalyst?
When titanium dioxide (TiO2) captures ultraviolet light (UV), either from the sun or fluorescent light, it forms activated oxygen from water and oxygen in the air. This process is similar to photosynthesis, in which chlorophyll captures sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and glucose. The formed activated oxygen is strong enough to oxidize and decompose organic materials and eliminate bio-polution.

Q: What is Titanium Dioxide (TiO2)?
Titanium dioxide, also known as titania, is the naturally occurring oxide of titanium, chemical formula TiO2. Titanium Dioxide is considered a safe substance and harmless. It is commonly used in paint, printing ink, plastics, paper, synthetic fibers, rubber, condensers, painting colors, crayons, ceramics and electronic components along with food and cosmetics. Many studies have been published on the use of titanium dioxide as a photocatalyst for the decomposition of organic compounds. After illuminated by UV light, titanium dioxide produces hydroxyl radicals, which react with the organic matter in the air to form non-toxic inorganic matter.

Q: What effects Does the UV-PCO Treatment Have?
We succeeded in finding a novel phenomenon on the photocatalyst. That is, when the surface of photocatalytic film is exposed to light, the contact angle of the photocatalyst surface with water is reduced gradually. After enough exposure to light, the surface reaches super-hydrophilicity. In other words, it does not repel water at all, so the water cannot exist in the shape of a drop, but spreads flatly on the surface of photocatalyst . The photo-catalytic super-hydrophilicity is important technology, because it has wider applications, including anti-fogging, self-cleaning properties. The end result is a healthier interior for you and your family.

Q: What are the Benefits of the DrivePur Treatments?
Hydroxyl radicals are among the strongest oxidizing agents, even stronger than chlorine, ozone, and peroxide. They act as very powerful disinfecting agents by oxidizing the cells of microorganisms, causing rupture and leakage of vital composition.


On the deodorizing application, the hydroxyl radicals accelerate the breakdown of any Volatile Organic Compounds or VOCs by destroying the molecular bonds. This will help combine the organic gases to form a single molecule that is not harmful to humans thus enhance the air cleaning efficiency. Q: How is the Treatment Long Lasting:
Although it is originally water-soluble, it dries quickly after application and becomes water-insoluble. It does not come off easily, unless the surface is polished. Titanium dioxide is merely the catalyst and is not changed, its effect is long lasting.

Q: How Often Should I Have a Treatment?
We recommend a re-application treatment every six months

Q: Is the Treatment Safe?
Yes , there is no harm of direct touching the material or having direct contact with it after its drying time. The materials are safe for use.

Our photocatalyst surface coating provides the long-lasting effects of elimination of bio-polution. Q: Does the Coating Easily Wear Off?
No, after drying the photocatalyst forms a very solid film that are difficult to wipe off unless strong cleaning chemicals are used. Nano sized particles embed themselves in the smallest of cracks and crevices.

Q: What Factors May Influence the Treatment?
Light and airflow will have a remarkable influence over the reaction of the photocatalyst. Both factors are needed to maintain the coating effectiveness. The better airflow you have (air circulation which can be obtained by using an ordinary fan or the normal air movement from air conditioner ducts) and the longer UV light times, the better the results of coating will be achieved
